Mixed Media Jewelry

I have just been looking through the special issue magazine, Handcrafted Jewelry that covers a variety of different media forms. There are sample projects using doming resin, polymer clay, metal and more. It's fun to make your own components and pendants and it makes a piece unique as well.

Mixed Media Jewelry

I recently received the new magazine, Handcrafted Jewelry. It covers a variety of mixed media elements to add interest to jewelry. They cover etching, polymer, doming with resin and much more. Over 20 different ideas are shown, including projects. I really love this special issue and can't wait to try a few of the methods.

August and heading into the holiday months

Most Crafters (ie beaders) realize that projects need to be planned and worked on long before the event arrives. Now is that time! Don't wait till the last minute to start gifts that require special items, or sports jewelry that you plan to sell, especially if there are unique components you will need.

So much to do and so little time! Even I need to start working on my projects and plans for both the store and myself. My mind is blank!! Oh no!

About Me

I've always loved jewelry and sparkly things, so when my life took a change I began considering my own shop. I started Highstrung Beads in January of 2003 and it is still going strong. The shop is now at it's third location and better than ever. I try to keep a selection of unusual items, pendants, and lots of gemstone as well as the standard bead items. I wish I could have even more beads in the shop, just like other bead lovers, there is never enough!!
